Members receive long service awards

As part of a change to the presentations of long service awards to members the group decided to move its annual service award presentations from the Annual Dinner and Dance to be part of the group’s annual variety show evening as part of a new variety show and awards evening.

Bolsover Drama Group take a trip to see former member on stage

On Saturday 15th June 2013 members of Bolsover Drama Group took to the road on a trip to watch the professional touring production of the Dolly Parton musical ‘9 to 5’ featuring former Bolsover Drama Group member Tom Hargreaves.

Honours at the NODA East Midlands awards

We were proud to be recently presented with the 2012 NODA East Midlands award for best pantomime (district 2) for our production of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ – the fifth time in as many years we have come top in the category in district 2.

Chapel Gable End

Chapel update

Our focus for the next few months is to concentrate on a number of repairs to the exterior of the building, starting with some damage to the gable end as a result of the bad weather over the winter.

We’re proud once again to be nominated in two categories for the 2012 NODA East Midlands awards, which will be presented at the NODA East Midlands AGM and awards day on Sunday 2nd June.

On Sunday 3rd March members of Bolsover Drama Group took part in our sponsored walk to raise money for the group as part of our fund-raising efforts.

Treasure Island snow clearance

There’s no business like snow business

Despite the bad January weather we managed to battle the elements and perform all the scheduled dates of our 2013 pantomime ‘Treasure Island’ (although we did have to open without the benefit of a dress rehearsal, which was called off due to the weather).
